DELTA State House of Assembly candidate for Isoko North Constituency, under the platform of Peoples Redemption Party, PRP, Hon Alumeri Omojevwe Blessing, has promised to initiate legislation to be anchored on some cardinal areas of needs of her constituents if she is eventually elected to represent her constituency at the State Assembly.
Hon Alumeri disclosed this Over the weekend in a chat with journalist shorty after the official flag off of her campaign at Ozoro in Isoko North LGA of Delta State. stressing that, her journey into politics was driven by the desire to change the narrative and to provide an alternative voice for the youths.
In her words; “If eventually elected to represent my people at Delta State House of Assembly, I will initiate quality legislation that will improve quality education, healthcare, roads and infrastructural development of my Constituency.
“I will sponsor bills that would improve Agricultural life style of my constituents from a peasant farming to a commercial one harnessing grants and aids alongside other governmental supports. And I will ensure that we provide quality Healthcare for my constituents and provide old people’s home for the aged ones as well as influence establishment of production industries that will create employment opportunities for youths, men and women.”
Hon Alumeri posited that, the lack of interest in politics by youths as being responsible for the dominance of the political space by “very old and tired” politicians who are due for retirement.
She regretted the fact that not too many young Nigerians, like herself, are ready to take the leap into politics but said she would see to it that such would no longer be the case when eventually elected.
The official flag off draw large numbers of PRP members from across the thirteen political wards of Isoko North Local Government Area.
